The Virginia Homeschool Athletic Conference (VHAC)
Criteria for our Board Members:
The VHAC is seeking dedicated individuals to join its Board of Directors. As a board member, you will play a crucial role in advancing homeschool sports across Virginia by providing leadership and strategic oversight.
Key Responsibilities:

Mission Execution | Ensure the organization's mission is effectively carried out.

Program Development Oversight | Supervise the development of sports programs and collaborate with an outsourced management company responsible for daily operations, including tournament planning, budgeting, tax filings, and website management.

Policy Decision-Making | Participate in voting on organizational structures, sports rules, and regulations proposed by the management company.

Meeting Participation | Attend up to six regular board meetings annually and engage in active electronic communications.
Eligibility Criteria:

Active Volunteer - Currently volunteer with your local sports organization.

VHAC Membership - Your organization must be a member of VHAC (membership opportunities are available).

Commitment - Willingness to attend board meetings and actively participate in board activities.
Board members serve two-year terms and contribute to shaping the future of homeschool sports in Virginia. If you are passionate about promoting fairness, growth, and opportunities in homeschool athletics, VHAC encourages you to apply. Board members will be voted in by VHAC sports organizations. Each VHAC organization may have no more than one representative on the board and will have one vote per eligible board position.
